Who We Are

Welcome to the New Indian River Club. Here you will find a beautifully landscaped, private golf retreat hidden away from the crowds and noise often found on Florida's Coast. Designed in the spirit of golf, tradition of family and respect of the land, Indian River Club stands alone in having captured the magic of a bygone era.

Homes are carefully designed to complement the natural surroundings in a charming, low-country architectural style. Here you will be comfortable in a neighborhood where golf carts and bicycles are the preferred method of transportation. Friends and neighbors, rather than extravagant excess, make up the Club's personality.

Located in the laid-back, ocean front city of Vero Beach, you will find a Community where you can still experience small town charm and values. Homes here may be private personal sanctuaries, but their welcoming sidewalks and front porches invite a neighborly camaraderie.

A casual and relaxed atmosphere best describes the Indian River Club Lifestyle. The exciting 6,914 yard, par 72 Golf Course, winds through the natural aesthetics of the land. As quoted by Members, "IRC is a course you can play every day!".

Rare stands of towering long-needle pines, ancient live oaks and spectacular virgin preserves grace the 18-Hole, always challenging Ron Garl Signature designed Golf Course. Reminiscent of traditional golf courses built in the 1920's and 30's which embodied classic golf course design, the Indian River Club Golf Course offers a rare cross-section of four distinct and pristine natural environments.

The western quarter of the Golf Course features a North Carolina look with beautiful, mature pine trees. The mid-section has an aura of "Old Florida" with white sugar marshes. The eastern quarter has hammocks of old oaks and towering sand pines. The remaining holes play along an ancient coastal sand dune with dramatic elevation changes.

Another important and valuable feature of the Golf Course is its unique drainage system. Florida summer rains or standing water rarely prevent the Membership from enjoying play on the Golf Course.

In 1995, Indian River Club was selected as the second Community in the world to receive the honor of "Signature" status from Audubon International, the renowned not-for-profit environmental organization dedicated to sustaining natural resource management.

The Audubon program was created to provide a comprehensive approach to environmental planning with a primary focus on sustainability. In other words, using natural resources in a way that would not deplete the resource while supporting human activity. Involvement in the Audubon program is an ongoing commitment that is subject to annual review and re-certification. Today there are only about sixty Audubon International Certified Signature Sanctuaries in the world. Indian River Club is extremely proud to be among them.
